A standard consultation takes 50 minutes and the fee per session is $220 for our Registered Psychologists. These fees are below those recommended by the Australian Psychological Society (APS) which are currently set at $311 per session.
Fees for assessments vary depending on a variety of factors, including the complexity, type of assessment, and number of sessions required. However, generally fees range between $900 to $3,000 including the comprehensive report.
With a valid referral from your General Practitioner, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate on up to 10 sessions per calendar year under the better access to mental health care initiative. If you are eligible for Medicare support the rebate for a Registered Psychologist is $96.65.
If you have private health insurance, you may be eligible to claim rebates. These claims are made from you directly with your insurer after full payment for the session. Please note you are unable to claim from your private health insurer if you are accessing rebates through Medicare.
We are able to see NDIS clients who are plan managed and self-managed. If you are plan managed, the cost of your consultation is payable by your NDIS plan management provider.
Under The Insightful Mind Co's cancellation policy clients are required to provide two business days notice to cancel appointments. Appointment reminders are sent 48 hours before appointments. Cancellations can be made by calling or emailing. We apply our cancellation policy in order to have notice to provide the appointment to someone waiting for treatment.
